Tire Rack Street Survival – Real World, Hands On.

Driver’s Ed Isn’t Enough

It’s one thing to know the laws, and be capable of getting the car from point A to point B when nothing unexpected happens. It’s another thing entirely to be prepared with car control skills when the unexpected happens. Not so sure? Maybe Danica Lacy’s story Overwhelmed and Undertrained will shed a little light.

Skill and Confidence Saves Lives

When your teen driver attends a Street Survival school, we teach them to safely control your car in unpredictable situations based on its handling limits. With a combination of classroom and in-car instruction, they master the application of driving physics They learn how to make good driving decisions and react more quickly. They become more confident, aware, able to anticipate the actions of other drivers, and respond safely.

Dear St. Louis BMW Club Inc. Members:
As fellow BMW enthusiasts who enjoys the thrill of the road, we understand the passion and
excitement that comes with being behind the wheel. However, we cannot ignore the stark
reality that teen driving is a perilous journey, often leading to tragic outcomes. The statistics are
alarming, and the need for action is urgent.

That is why we are reaching out to you today with an opportunity to make a tangible difference
in your community. This year, St. Louis Region SCCA will lead the effort supported by our
BMWCCA Club and St. Louis Region–Porsche Club on America. We have begun ramping up the
St. Louis Region’s Tire Rack Street Survival School (TRSS) program aimed at equipping teens
with the skills and knowledge to navigate dangerous driving situations safely.

We are calling on individuals like you, with a passion for driving and a commitment to safety, to
become coaches for this vital initiative. By sharing your expertise and experience, you can help
empower young drivers to make responsible choices behind the wheel, potentially saving lives
in the process. Becoming a coach for TRSS is not only an opportunity to give back to your
community but also a chance to be part of a movement that prioritizes safety and responsible
driving practices. Your involvement will directly contribute to creating safer roads for everyone.

Join us in our mission to combat the dangers of teen driving and ensure a brighter, safer future
for our youth. Take the first step by completing the online training course to qualify as a coach
