ummmm on my old 94

we have "hockey pucks" underneeth in the same locations as the holes in the side for the stock jack. those would be it.
That would be the hockey pucks that are always falling out on my car! I have stopped buying them and now just use some scrap wood. I have a ton of leftover ChoiceWood or TREX (composite wood) from my deck and I use that.

but when lifting the entire front or rear i usually use the front crossmember (part of the front sub frame) or the rear diff. This then allows me to put my jack stands under the hockey pucks.
I am not sure you want to lift from the diff. I use the subframe that wraps under the diff.

(dont know if the new ones come with the hockey pucks anymore or not)
E46's have rectangular instead of round pucks, but I think they are donated to the highway department at about the same rate as the E36 round ones.
