We are excited to announce the St. Louis BMW club is joining forces with three other BMW Club Chapters to host a premier event at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas on June 8-10. This event is planned to be much more than a DE. Heartland Park offers the opportunity to host an autocross (one chapter has all the equipment), Test and Tune on their drag strip Friday night, space for a Sunday car show, top notch facilities (classroom, garages, etc...), and the space to have a Social Dinner Saturday evening!

This is going to be a major event which has support from the BMW club at the National level. We are hoping it becomes an annual event and expands!

More info to follow.......

as a STL native, and current KC member let me be the first to welcome everyone out to Heartland Park in June.
it's going to be an absolute blast.....
we have a great deal on a close by hotel....it is literally 5 minutes from the track. we have the hotel.
no, we have the WHOLE hotel.

as mentioned - facilities at HPT are tremendous and designed for championship level events. the NHRA has a summer national there, SCCA hosted both the solo nationals and the runoffs there too.

garages - complete with air and electric will be available.

then there's the track! fun to drive. elevation change, a 180 degree, banked carousel. 2.5 miles - 16 turns (or 14, depending upon how you count).....

looking forward to seeing all the STL folks - as i said, i'm a native trapped over in hostile territory! :)

Where have I heard of this type of event before.......................................................

I may have to pick and choose between this and a brand N event at Hallett. I bet this one will be a lot more fun with some finer "gentleman's establishments" VERY close by! (I know some of you may be shocked that I know that) Once I get settled into my new house in Tulsa I'll get it figured out.

I'm excited about this event but I've been thinking about this a bit.

When Gateway closed, everyone in STL was upset about it. Now that Gateway is open again, why wouldn't we do an event here in our hometown? It just seems kind of counter-productive. Just saying.

We will have an event later in the year at Gateway. A number of us from the board went to the Chapter Congress last weekend in Dallas and were approached by the other clubs to join forces. So, we thought it was a great opportunity. Who knows....the event may rotate to different tracks around the MidWest each year...maybe even Gateway!

Good to hear! That would be killer if we could have an all out multi state event at our home track. Like a little Oktoberfest right here.

i'd be thrilled if we eventually developed a regional schedule of these types of events.

so, throughout the season we know there's an event at a track - same time, each year and we all support each event....

Looking forward to this!!!

It's been a very long time since I've been able to share the track with any of you other than YOUR home track.

Cheers and see you in June!

I'm interested and I instructed at Heartland Park last summer and then I drove it again for some Chump testing later in the year. It's a great track and facility.

My only concern is Chump car is supposed to be at Gateway that weekend but I've also heard that event was cancelled (it is still showing on the Chump website). Does anyone know the status of Chump?

If Chump is a no go, I'm in for HPT.

Cool event concept. Busy Summer so can't commit for sure, but half the battle is getting stuff on the family calendar first. Fun track ... like a giant autoX.
