Looks like fun. I went to the last Midnight Madness at GIR with Pete (organicmechanic), and hung out in the drifting area.
I was just surprised that Pete could get his E30 to drift at all. It had always been my understanding that BMWs handled so well, that they would fight you trying to make it lose traction. I heard you got a 'new' E30. What do you think of it as a drift car?

It's my understanding that they use E30's a bunch in Europe since they are like a dime a dozen over there like the 240sx used to be here. As they get older and rust away and or wrecked they are getting harder to find. The E30 might just be the next drift king here too, I hope not, but it could happen.

Yeah, do a YouTube search for "Dado" and you'll see plenty of BMW drifting! Rion, that cameraman is NUTS! No way I would be hanging out on the outside of the turns!

You know I used to be friendly with Dado, right? That was back in 2000-2002 before I moved. I've since lost touch with him.

I was the camera man.. and it was a homemade car mount out the window. thanks guys! The E30 from what I can tell will be a great drift car, If I choose to pursue it. I still have my dedicated drifter and have been using the BMW as a DD. If you were at Midnight Madness chances are you saw me.. I help run that thing on the drift side.
