I just installed my new lift, so I decided it was time to put it to good use. I started with a 1988 325i Convertible. It was a running parts car that I drove it on the lift. It had lots of goodies:

  • New KYB shocks
  • Vogtland Springs
  • KMAC Camber Plates
  • New Control Arms
  • New Control Arm Bushings
  • New swaybar drop links
  • Recently recovered leather seats front and rear
  • Lots of freshings to the 120k mile M20
  • Good Hella headlights
  • Strut Bar
  • Painted calipers
  • New pads
  • New slotted and drilled rotors

Dropped the motor out the bottom: (I love the new lift!)

So why was it a parts car? It was involved in an accident. The repair was about the worst I've seen. The people that purchased the car after the repair had no idea what it looked like underneeth everything. They sold it for parts once it was discovered.

So where are these parts going? Some are going up for sale, but the goodies are going to freshen my 1989 325iC 5 speed daily driver:

I am drooling on my keyboard looking at that front spoiler, it would look really nice on my e30. Any chance you want to sell it?

BTW - that repair looks like it was done by a blind man.

You played with those Erector sets as a child, didn't you? That looks like an intense 28 hour sprint! That "repair" job really is amazing.

Wow, that "repair" job was awful. Glad to see the parts are going to good use, though!
