Driving Events - High Performance Driving Schools - 2008

The St. Louis BMW Club is hosting one more High Performance Driving Event in 2008. This event will be held at Gateway International Raceway.

High Performance Driving School - October 31 - November 2, 2008.

Technical inspections are required and are being scheduled for Reid Vann on October 16, 2008 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Inspections during this timeframe are free. Call for an appointment 314-968-4100.

Registration rates are:

Saturday and Sunday students $300

Friday, Saturday and Sunday for approved advanced students $425

Friday Test & Tune for instructors who are instructing all weekend $125

Friday Test & Tune for approved advanced students who are driving on Friday only $200

Driving Experience (Ride with instructors for one day) $35

Street Survival School

We completed two very successful Street Survival Schools in 2008. We will soon schedule two schools for 2009 and publish those dates here. Registration will be as it was in 2008, we'll publish the date and time registration will open. We'll accept 40 students (this is an increase from past schools) on a first-come, first-served basis. Keep an eye here.

Monthly Meetings

The St. Louis BMW Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month. All members and guests are invited to attend.

LOCATION CHANGE

In an effort to satisfy the travel needs of as many members as possible and make attending our meetings more convenient, we've decided to hold our monthly meetings at 3 different locations, rotating each month.

1. Autohaus BMW in Maplewood will be convenient for members living in the City and Illinois (location is east of the highway 40 closure).

2. Growlers in Sunset Hills will be convenient for members living in West and South County.

3. Pujols5 in Westport Plaza will be convenient for members living in St. Charles and North County.

Members' Picture of the Month


Jim Demchsak's brand new M3.

I took this picture just off the main street in Nurburg, Germany on Sunday, 25 May, 2008. I was there for the 24-hour race. My car has only about 1500 miles on the clock. The white car parked just to the left which is mostly blocked by my car is a track prepared E46 M3 CSL (not available in the US). You can see its red mirrors through my passenger's window. The white M3 parked to its left is an E92 M3. Both registered in Sweden to the guy who owns the taped off land on which I parked.
